(41)The Hille Furniture Company began in the 'East End' of London back in 1906 by Salamon Hille. They renovated and reproduced eighteenth century furniture with the main focus of the business being quality, not quantity - wanting every item to be perfect.
Salamon Hille passed away in 1940, which had a knock on effect on the company. In 1950, they moved to a new premises, however, they had some financial issues the following year, and the company moved to an old brewery in Watford. In 1961, the company had recovered and moved to a new office.
Today, the company is better than ever, producing high quality, affordable furniture that is very popular with customers.
